Disney Day 5

(Sorry for the lapse in time between postings...kinda nuts around here lately!)

Wednesday, December 24th – Epcot

Though the visit in this park was short, we got done what we wanted to accomplish. We were there before the gates opened and half of our group (Dad, Jill, Warren, Aunt Beth, Uncle Gene) headed over to Soarin’. Mom, Billie, myself and the girls went to get in line for Test Track. These were the two things that we all wanted to ride at Epcot. So we did the “divide and conquer” thing.

After the group got off of Soarin’, they grabbed fast passes for Billie, Mom, myself and the girls. And we did the same with Test Track.

LB wanted to ride Test Track, so she went first with Billie and I. What a cool ride! I know that she doesn’t look happy in the pic, but I had just told her that she was gonna have to spit out her gum! I assured her that she could have another piece after the ride was over…she was okay after that.

After Billie, LB and I rode Test Track, I went back and rode with my mom. I’d never ridden anything like that with her before! I was so proud…she usually stays away from rides and stuff.

We then met up with the other part of our group and swapped fast passes. Next we headed to "The Seas With Nemo and Friends" and then went to "Turtle Talk With Crush"...both of which were very cool! Especially "Turtle Talk"!

Since we had so much time before our fast pass time came, Billie and I took the girls to the Epcot Character Spot. This was a place that had Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald all in one building. We waited in line for about 45 minutes, but it was worth it. We already had Minnie and Mickey, but wanted a pic of them in their "normal" clothing. The girls were very excited to see the characters again, and AA was all into it this time around.

After the character spot, we headed over to ride Soarin'. Billie and mom rode with JK and LB (AA was too short for this one too) and then dad and I rode together. What a cool ride! You can smell the citrus as you're flying over orange groves and you can smell the pine as you're going over the pine trees. Not to mention the wind in your face. It was so neat...I'm so glad that JK and LB rode it.

We met Jill, Warren, Beth and Gene for lunch, and headed back to the resort to rest for a bit.

Since it was Christmas Eve, we decided that we wanted to go the Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks. So Billie and I and the girls, mom, and Jill and Warren made the bus ride to MK. Got there in time to see the SpecroMagic Parade for the 4th time, then decided that we needed to be closer to the Castle. That's where it got chaotic.

It seems that everyone and their dog decided that it would be fun to see the fireworks at the Castle on Christmas Eve. After trying getting split up in the crowd, we all just decided to stay put. We were right in front of the Castle. It was an amzing spot! Fireworks were amazing as well. The girls loved it, and so did the adults!

After the fireworks, we SLOWLY made our way toward the front of the park. We stopped in the bakery for a snack and found a place to sit, where we saw SpectoMagic again! (By this time, the score has embeded itself into my head!)

We finally made it back the resort (very late) and fell into bed exhausted but ready for the next day!
