First post as a family of 6!

Now I need to change my header!

We've been home a week, and what a week it's been! You can read about our trip to get EG here. We had a fabulous trip to our nation's capital and the best part was welcoming the new addition to our family!

We are all doing great. The girls have pretty much adjusted to having EG at our house, and EG is slowly but surely getting used to US! There have been some minor discipline issues, but I think she's learning now that we mean business about some things and the fits have gotten shorter, thank goodness!

The language barrier hasn't been as big of an issue as we thought it would be. She is picking up new words everyday and the girls are more than willing to help with that! Bedtime has been easy going too...she goes to sleep on my chest and sleeps all night once she's put down on her pallet. I think we will be moving her into her bed this week. AA and EG are sharing a room, and AA is chomping at the bit for her sister to be in there with her! It's sure to be a transition though.

Mealtimes are going great as well. EG is pretty willing to try whatever we put in front of her, and finishes most of what's on her plate. Potty time hasn't been a problem either. She's been in panties all week and is dry all day...pull-up at night is pretty consistently dry. We don't know if she has giardia or not (very common parasite) but she goes for her first check up this week, so we'll see what the Dr. says.

Overall things are good. A bit of post-adoption blues on my end, but from what I've read, that's very normal. Just like delivering a baby...so much anticipation, then it's over and you're home!

I'm going to post slide shows from our week in DC, as well as some pics from this week (there aren't many!). Enjoy!
