There is a wonderful couple in our church. They've been married for well over 50 years. She is the sweetest thing...and boy, can she accessorize! (I'm not kidding on that one!) He is just the cutest little man you've ever seen. They love each other like crazy, and it's obvious to those who are around them.
They have a condo in Helen, which is about 4 hours north of here. We spent our honeymoon in north Georgia, and spent some time in Helen. We love that little German town!
Anyway...Miss Evelyn approached Billie about 2 weeks ago and told him that they wouldn't be able to make it to the condo this year. She proceded to tell him that it was available for the entire week if we wanted to use it. For FREE!
So we made plans very quickly and Billie just decided to take a day off of work so that we could get away as a family. It was just what we needed. We got there late, but enjoyed time in the town and at a state park on a nature trail. We were so completely relaxed. We would've stayed another day if we could've, but responsibilities called.
So here's a small slide show of our day in Helen...just what the doctor ordered!

We spent our honeymoon on the outskirts of Helen. I look forward to a trip there again someday. How cool that God blessed you with that getaway!
great pics! Loved the ones of the trees, you must of taken those for your momma's enjoyment! Also loved the smiles on EVERONE'S face.
