We were afforded a totally unexpected visit with Allen and John and Kathy on Labor Day. Allen was to fly out of Mobile to get back to Dallas, but with Gustav barreling through, the Mobile airport was closed. So John and Kathy drove him to the Atlanta airport. So we hopped in the van and made our way to Atlanta for the impromtu family visit. We had a wonderful time, though we seriously missed Amy and Simon. (The sweet reunion is coming, girl!)
Here are a few pics from the day. We hung out at Barnes and Noble for a couple of hours (which didn't kill me at all!) until it was time to head to the airport. By the time we were ready to head out, we just about couldn't pry the girls off of Uncle Allen! They love him so much...

Hi Shana! We did have fun with all of you even though it was a quick visit for sure. The girls were such fun and just showered lots of love on their Uncle Allen! It was so sweet to see the girls sitting with him on the floor at Barnes and Noble as he read a book to them. We are all looking forward to the reunion with Amy and Simon so much... what a sweet day that will be.
Much love to all of you.
Kathy
yeah Dantzler family! hip-hip hurray!
It is good to see all your faces...you're especially Allen! Amy, you and Si get in the next fam pic!
We love you all very much,
Joy, Momma
I just saw this, and it makes me SMILE BIG. We are so thankful for your love and support--it really helps us get through these days!! When I rock Simon I tell him all about his Georgia peaches cousins and we talk about EllaGrace and all the fun times we are going to have together. We are making a book for Simon with all of your faces to show him every night...until the day he sees his sweet Auntie, Uncle, and beautiful cousins face to face!!!
Check out AudreyAnn's face..she's thinking, "Yeah, who's sittin' with Uncle Allen? Who's that? Me? Yeah baby, that would be me!" So, so thankful we got to see Allen. It was worth the drive to Atlanta. Love you Allen!
