I had the amazing opportunity this past weekend to attend the Deeper Still event in Atlanta. It was a joy to be able to hear Beth Moore, Kay Arthur and Priscilla Shirer teach the word. I went with Jennie and a few women from her church. It truly was a life changing weekend for me.
The Lord was speaking in a way that I haven't felt in a long time. The biggest thing that God revealed to me was that I don't need to let people like Beth Moore "go up the mountain" and bring me the word from God. I need to dig into the word myself and hear what God is trying to tell me. He wants an intimate relationship with me just as much as He wants it with these 3 amazing women that broke the bread of Life this weekend.
What an amazing God we serve! He truly desires for us to know Him in a very real way and He won't settle for less than our all.

Dear Sweet Shana-wana... I am so glad you got that out of this past weekend. Knowing how busy life gets with preschoolers, it is hard to find quiet time w/God...but you've got it! I pray for your quiet time often and will now prayer even harder as satan will work to keep it at bay.
Giving yourself time w/God will only benefit your children as they watch you...andtheir little eyes are watching...

You are so right! I am so glad that you had a refreshing time at the conferenece, and expect that God will use that time to do amazing things in your life -- just as He is already doing!
